CELEBRITIES AND THEIR CELLIES

Here are some of the world's popular bigwigs with their beloved communication gadgets:

Hayden Panetierre
Phone: Sidekick LX by T-Mobile/Danger
Its innovative design and full keyboard boosted the Sidekick into celebrity-favorite territory years ago. Nick Cannon, Ashton Kutcher, Rachel Bilson and Jennifer Hudson also use the LX, a model that boasts a high-definition screen and mood lights that change color to indicate incoming calls or messages.

Ryan Cabrera
Phone: Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman Phone
This music phone from Sony Ericsson is popular with musicians, including Jon Bon Jovi and teen pop duo Aly and AJ.

Snoop Dogg
Phone: Jawbone Headset
Traditional cellphones aren't the only draw at celebrity gifting suites. Cellphone accessories, such as these Bluetooth Jawbone headsets are popular giveaways as well, says Shruti Dhalwala of gifting company Backstage Creations. At the Teen Choice Awards, Snoop Dogg scooped up a headset, as did Ludacris, Vanessa Hudgens, and Sophia Bush.

Kim Kardashian
Phone: BlackBerry Pearl by Research In Motion
The slim Pearl has some celebrity fans, such as Audrina Partridge from The Hills. But most stars favor traditional BlackBerrys with full QWERTY keyboards for ease of use. Kim and her cell are inseperable.

Miley Cyrus
Phone: Apple iPhone
The iPhone has plenty of fans in the corporate and tech worlds, but Hollywood celebrities are a little cool these day toward the trendy device. Celebs like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton tried out the phone earlier in the year, but seem to have put it aside. Miley Cyrus appears to be a new fan. On a recent Oprah episode, she could be seen clutching the sleek phone.

Eva Longoria
Phone: Samsung BlackJack II
Eva Longoria is apparently both a BlackBerry and a BlackJack user, as she co-hosted the BlackJack II's launch in mid-November. Other BlackJack fans include Jon Voight, Masi Oka from Heroes and Kevin Connolly from Entourage.

cellphones difinetly represent certain trends and fashion out there. especially with celebrities exposing what kind of cellphones they have so that there fans can follow the trend.
but i think people should just stick with on cellphone and be contyent with that, what more do you want from a cellphone. cellphones are over-rated.

I have been asking everyone I know about this phone , I think it is brilliant, the design, the look, the appeal and its something that I can see myself with. I would love to have one but where in South Africa can I get it. I first saw it on the series Heroes and then in the movie Step up. it is a trend that will soon follow suit when it arrives in our country.

Thanks for your feedback guys..Simone I think you should follow the links on our homepage to one of the South African mobile network services and email your request to customer services and they will assist you further. If the phone is unavailable in the country then it shouldn't be difficult to import it.It all depends on how badly you want it:-)

The cell phone has in fact, like every other thing owned by a celebrity, become a fashion icon. The cell phone as a whole has become its own fashion icon. Everybody wants one, even if they don't know how to use it. People want it because owning one is advertised as being 'cool'.
